How a British man lost weight using 10 different weight loss menus in 50 days. Some of the menus have never been heard of before. Let’s take a look at the results!
Andy Leeks is the protagonist of this report. He is 180 centimeters tall and weighs 224 pounds, so his colleagues and friends call him Fatty! For the sake of his reputation, Andy decided to undergo a wild boar makeover, determined to lose weight! However, he had tried dieting to lose weight before, but he could not defeat his biggest inner demon: fear of boredom. He said that those diet menus are very boring. If you diet for a while, you will feel bored and then give up. So this time he hopes to change the weight loss menu every 5 days, firstly to reduce boredom, and secondly to test which menu is the most effective.
Meal 1-5:2 diet
That is, within 5 days, 3 days are normal eating and 2 days are dieting. On diet days, Andy mainly eats tomato soup for lunch, and a slice of toast with a few beans and an apple for dinner. In the end, he lost 5 pounds in 5 days, but he discovered that this menu was originally designed for women, so he ate a lot less calories.
Meal 2—Special K Diet
Special K is one of the healthy product branches of Galax Corn Flakes. The method is that 2 of the 3 meals a day are made of Special K.Food substitution. Andy found this diet to be super boring, and although he lost another 5 pounds in 5 days, he definitely wouldn't stick with it anymore.
Menu 3—Recommended Menu from the British National Health Service (NHS)
Andy really likes the menu recommended by the NHS website, because when it is rich in whole grains, vegetables and fruits, and the right amount of meat and fish, as long as you eat according to the menu, there is no need to measure the calorie intake at each meal, it is almost like there is no such thing. Same as dieting. He lost 4 pounds.
You can download this PDF menu, but it is all in English.
Meal 4—Juice Meal
Compared with the recommended menu of the NHS, juice can be said to be Andy's nightmare, because all juices have to be freshly squeezed, which takes a lot more time than he imagined, and he also lost 4 pounds.
Meal 5—High-fat, low-carb Atkins diet
Andy lost 1.5 pounds using the Atkins diet, which is based on eggs, meat, butter and cheese and completely eliminates carbohydrates, so the body has to use fat as an energy source. Don't think you're happy about it, Andy thinks this diet is very uncomfortable and boring.
Meal 6—Raw Food Diet
This is the one that Andy finds most uncomfortable among many diets. All the food he eats must be natural and uncooked. On day 3, he felt weak and had a sore throat that required him to go to the hospital emergency room, where he was eventually admitted.Diagnosed with bacterial infection, he was hospitalized for 2 days. He has lost a total of 3 pounds in the past 5 days, but he probably lost most of the weight because he was ill. All in all, the raw food diet is difficult to see and practice.
Meal 7—BB Diet
Those silly kids who ate baby food for every meal lost 1 pound in 5 days.
Menu 8—Use mobile app to calculate food calories
Andy hated having to record everything he ate in the app. In the end, he lost 1 pound.
Meal 9—Grapefruit Diet
Eat grapefruit before and after meals. It is said that it can speed up fat burning. He has lost 1 pound.
Meal 10 – Broccoli Soup Diet
Andy saved this diet for last because he found it too embarrassing to have to eat low-calorie broccoli soup at every meal. This soup doesn't contain any herbs, it's basically broccoli, onions and water, and it makes you smell bad and make you fart. Andy finds it difficult for his wife! In the end, I lost 1 pound.
