In yoga, some postures are the most basic movements, and other movements are changes and developments from these movements. The Triangle Stretch Pose is a very classic must-practice posture in all kinds of yoga. So do you know what the variations of the Triangle Stretch Pose are? Let’s talk about this today!
Triangle Rotation Pose, which is a variation of Triangle Stretch Pose, is formed by adding spine twisting and flipping movements to Triangle Stretch Pose.
Action Points
1. Stand with your feet as far apart as possible, squat and lunge, so that your left thigh and calf form a 90-degree angle and are parallel to the ground. The left hand passes through the inside of the left leg and interlocks with the back of the right hand.
2. Straighten your left leg, place your left hand on the popliteal fossa of your left leg, turn your upper body sideways and upward as much as possible, turn your head upward, and look directly above. Breathe naturally. Hold for a few seconds.
3. Turn your body slightly to the front and look forward with your eyes. After holding for a few seconds, return your body to the other side and practice on the other side.
Effects of asanas
Action effects
Stretch the inner thighs and strengthen the leg muscles. Stretch the waist and abdominal muscles and eliminate excess fat on the waist and buttocks. Twisting promotes fresh blood flow to the spine, making the spine more flexible. Stimulate gastrointestinal motility and promote excretion. Relieve and eliminate waist and back tension and fatigue. Relieves sciatica and joint pain.
Notes
The distance between the feet depends on the strength of the legs and knees and the flexibility of the hips. When practicing, it should be based on your own comfort. Pregnant women who are more than six months pregnant should not practice this posture. When turning the body, the shoulders and hips must remain on the same plane. Your hips and shoulders may roll back during the exercise. Have your trainer use his hands to assist your shoulders and hips to prevent them from everting out.
